Arroyo Vista Housing

For students in the Early Start pathway, living on campus during the Freshman Summer Start Program is an optional, though highly recommended aspect of the program. Students who receive Summer Bridge Scholarship funding are required to live on campus during Freshman Summer Start. By choosing to live on campus during the program, you will be grouped with other Freshman Summer Start students, and will be able to best take advantage of the many student life opportunities organized exclusively for Freshman Summer Start students. You will also have the unique opportunity to learn from some of last year’s Freshman Summer Start students, who will be living with you in the dorms and guiding you as you begin your life at UCI.

Freshman Summer Start housing is located in the on-campus undergraduate community of Arroyo Vista, and is offered on a first-come, first-served basis, so apply early!

I would strongly advise Freshman Summer Start students to dorm and live on campus even if you will be commuting in the fall. Freshman Summer Start Student

Applying for Freshman Summer Start Program Housing

Please note that there is a separate Housing contract (different from the Freshman Summer Start Program Enrollment Form) that must be completed in order to reserve your room for the Freshman Summer Start Program. Please also note that Freshman Summer Start housing is completely separate from your academic year housing and requires a separate contract.

Students interested in housing are strongly advised to apply for the Freshman Summer Start Program as soon as possible as spaces are offered on a first-come, first-served basis. You must apply and pay for housing by July 5, 2013. Housing contracts received after this date will be handled on a case-by-case basis by the UCI Housing Administration Office.

On your Freshman Summer Start Program Enrollment Form be sure to indicate that you are interested in on-campus housing in Section 2. Students who mark “Yes” will receive directions to apply for housing alongside their welcome information (sent by e-mail). Students will only be able to apply for housing once they have enrolled in the program and received official welcome information regarding the Freshman Summer Start Program.

*Summer Bridge participants will receive follow-up information regarding the process for the completion of their housing contracts.

Please review the Freshman Summer Start Program Housing Cancellation policies.
